Every so often, I need to list all of the things that I’ve got going on just so I can get a handle on them. This is that list:

###Route###
Request Official University Transcripts Electronically – a project to build a web-application for handling the ordering of official transcripts. Moving into the technical design phase.

###Grants Management###
Buying and implementing Oracle’s (nee PeopleSoft’s) Grants Management system. Moving into implementation phase.

###Desire2Learn Architecture###
Working with higher education leaders on a series of concerns regarding the Desire2Learn course management system including Single Sign-On and SOA. Forming a D2L Higher Education Architecture Working Group.

###SOA Migration###
Several presentations coming up on this topic – Wisconsin Higher Ed PeopleSoft User Group (WHEPSUG), SOA Summit and the Registrar’s Office

###Project Startup Status and Tools Web Application###
This is a project to build a web application that will let DoIT manage their project descriptions, simple status reports and collaboration tools centrally. This project is moving into beta.

###Internet2 Collaboration Tools###
Working with George Brett, Steve Olshansky, John-Paul Robinson, Jill Gemmill to build a roadmap for collaboration tools for Internet2 based on Folksonomies and the MyVOCs work at UAB.

###NetID Policy Issues Team###
Form the next NetID PIT and gather recommendations around the following policies: NetID for life, Self Selection of NetID by new users, Self Selection of NetIDs by current users and more?

###Web Services Framework###
Project for DoIT to move towards Web Services in a strategic and well-thought-out way.

###Building and Integration Competency Center###
Project to develop and build an ICC for Service Oriented Architecture and Web services. Covers the whole sweep from funding model to position descriptions, governance to roles and responsibilities.

###Enterprise Collaboration Tools###
Project to build a roadmap for collaborations and communication tools for DoIT. On-going. PSST is the first hard deliverable of this group. Need to reform the group and look at the next phase of the roadmap after the launch of PSST in mid-October.
